Red Lily with Bug

There are many varieties of Daylilies in my garden beds. I love to watch them bloom and fade. This particular lily captured my attention because of the bug upon the upper right most petal and the single strand of a spider web off to the left of the blossom. I love the play of light on the petals and leaves.

This painting won Honorable Mention for Oil Paintings in the Best of Michigan Artists and Artisans show 2006.
