Because I am nearsighted I enjoy the beauty of Fall by looking at the leaves, not the whole tree bedecked in amazing colors but the leaves and often one leaf at a time. Every one of them is unique! Unlike snowflakes that will dissolve with your attention, you can handle a leaf. You can turn it over and admire it from the back. You can hold it up so the sunlight shines through or hold it down so the sunlight dances across its surface and note how different it looks.
