My forest tends to be damp, a condition that is delightful to mushrooms. I keep promising myself to sit down and really study the many books I have on mushrooms and never quite find the time to do so. I did spot an ad recently for a mushroom hunters weekend for this Fall not too far from me which I am hoping to be able to join. There are a few mushrooms that I can identify on sight such as Morel and Dryad's Saddle and Chicken of the Woods but so many more I cannot name.
