Lilacs have always been one of my most favorite spring flowers. I love flowers that still have scent. To me the perfume of a flower is half its glory. I was delighted to see various butterflies enjoying my lilacs the year I planted them in the garden. WIth the sun shining through its wings it almost looks like stained glass.
